Amenities of Note

The LE is equipped better than your average base trim, getting power exterior mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, keyless entry, 17-inch alloy wheels, intermittent windshield wipers, a 4.2-inch driver information display, fabric seats with a 60/40-split folding second row, and a tilt-and-telescopic steering column. The front-row occupants will be comfortable with an eight-way power driver’s seat, a six-way manual front passenger seat, and the aforementioned dual-zone automatic climate control. The SE adds some characteristics for the driving enthusiast, with a sport-tuned suspension, a color-keyed rear spoiler, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It also has auto on/off headlights, heated power exterior mirrors with built-in turn-signal indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and SofTex simulated leather seats with power lumbar control for the driver. While the SE Nightshade is set up similarly, its blacked-out wheels and black exterior trim differentiate its appearance.

The XLE adds luxury with leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and its heated power side mirrors with integrated turn-signal indicators are even more deluxe with the added blind-spot warning indicators. This trim also gets heated front seats, an eight-way power front passenger seat, rear-seat heat/AC vents, proximity key with keyless entry, push-button ignition, a 7-inch driver information display, and ambient interior lighting. The XSE’s most noteworthy standard features are the sport suspension, 19-inch wheels, some trim-specific exterior detailing, and a dual exhaust with chrome-finished quad tips. The TRD (Toyota Racing Development) also gets the sport suspension and sport exhaust, plus added aerodynamics, special 19-inch alloy wheels, and trim-specific badging and accents inside and out. Toyota offers some optional packages to outfit the higher Camry grades with additional desirable equipment.

Advanced Safety Technology

The Toyota Safety Sense suite of active safety technologies comes standard, adding adaptive cruise control, forward-collision mitigation, lane-keep assist, automatic high-beams, and traffic sign recognition. The upgraded full-speed adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are added at the XLE level and offered as an option on lower trims. Buyers of the XLE and XSE can choose to add the Driver Assist Package for a surround-view monitor, a head-up display, automatic rear cross-traffic braking, and ventilated front seats.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The standard infotainment system found on the LE, SE, SE Nightshade, and TRD has a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth for phone and audio streaming, an audio system with six speakers, a USB-C port, a USB charge/media port, and a 12V accessory outlet. The XLE and XSE move up to a 9-inch touchscreen and receive SiriusXM satellite radio and wireless device charging (these features are available on lower trims for an added cost). Navigation and a nine-speaker JBL sound system are offered on the XLE and XSE, and the TRD is eligible for the JBL audio. All trims can be set up with a Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota Connected Services.
