2025 Toyota Camry

Overview
Building on more than four decades of well-earned success, the Toyota Camry kicks off a new generation for model year 2025 with a stream of updates that enhance its class-dominating appeal. Since its debut in 1982, the Camry has become an icon of longevity. This ninth generation introduces a statement-making new design, a revised suspension for more precise handling, and new standard driving aids. For the first time, it will be offered only with a hybrid powertrain, bringing Toyota closer to its goal of carbon neutrality.
All these remarkable improvements culminate in a Camry that pushes the limits of form and function. While this midsized legend embarks on a new frontier, you can rest easy knowing that its expected excellence hasn’t faltered – it’s only gotten more refined.

Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy
Toyota offers the ’25 Camry in four trims: LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. This year, all are equipped with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System, which pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor system generating 225 hp with front-wheel drive (FWD) and 232 hp with all-wheel drive (AWD). An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters completes the powertrain.
According to the EPA’s official determinations, the FWD LE returns 53 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway. This changes to 48 city/47 highway with the FWD SE, XLE, and XSE. With AWD, the LE gives its driver 51 city/49 highway, while the AWD SE and XLE achieve 46 city/46 highway. With the weight of its loaded equipment roster, the XSE consumes a bit more fuel, fulfilling 44 city/43 highway with AWD.
Premium Amenities
Toyota sets up the base LE with remote keyless entry, fabric upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, five USB ports (one Type-A data, one Type-A charging, and three Type-C charging), push-button ignition, heated side mirrors with blind-spot and turn-signal indicators, and automatic-on/off LED headlights. The SE goes a step above with seats featuring a combination of fabric and Softex synthetic leather, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, aluminum sport pedals, race-inspired exterior accents (rear spoiler and dual chrome-tipped exhaust), and black exterior trim.
The XLE is similar to the LE, but it adds proximity keyless entry, leather and microfiber upholstery, heated front seats, a power passenger’s seat, a heated steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, white LED interior lighting, outside door handles with touch-sensor lock/unlock, unique two-tone wheels, noise-reducing front side glass, and chrome exterior trim. The XSE has all of that, plus full leather upholstery and the sportier attributes of the SE.
Advanced Driver Aids
For this latest model year, Toyota has made blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and safe exit alert standard across all trims. Beyond that, it receives the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, which bundles a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist. The XLE and XSE can be ordered with an array of additional driving aids, which are covered in more detail in the final section of this overview.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The ’25 Camry’s default infotainment system consists of an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. The XLE and XSE upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and they’re both eligible for a nine-speaker JBL audio system. All trims have a 30-day trial to Wi-Fi Connect. The XLE and XSE get a one-year trial to Drive Connect, too, which includes Cloud Navigation with Google Points of Interest, Intelligent Assistant voice recognition, and Destination Assist. A subscription to Drive Connect is offered for the LE and SE.
