Trim Levels, Powertrain, and Performance

Buyers of the 2024 Venza have four trim grades to choose from: LE, XLE, Nightshade Edition, and Limited. Its hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine, a permanent magnet synchronous motor, and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT) with sequential shift mode. This system can generate up to 219 combined net horsepower and 163 lb.-ft. of torque. In terms of fuel economy, every Venza trim has an EPA-estimated rating of 40 mpg city/37 mpg highway. Every trim has electronic on-demand all-wheel drive and all-wheel drive integrated management with a multi-information display and touchscreen monitor.

Standard and Available Equipment

The LE has a height-adjustable hands-free power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth seats, a 7-inch multi-information display, a soft-touch dashboard with black piping, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift lever, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a cargo-area tonneau cover, wireless smartphone charging, LED lighting across the exterior (projector headlights/daytime running lights/taillights/stop lights), heated power side mirrors with puddle lights and driver’s-side auto-folding, a smart key system for the front doors and liftgate, and five USB ports (three front/two rear). The XLE upgrades to SofTex-trimmed seating, heated front seats, and color-keyed piping for the soft-touch dash. Other noteworthy features on this trim include wood-grain trim on the center console, memory settings for the driver’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, illuminated footwells and door handles, low-profile silver roof rails, LED fog lights, and smart key functionality on all doors.

The Nightshade Edition has a dark design treatment with the following elements blacked out: 19-inch alloy wheels, an acrylic grille with smoked chrome accents, low-profile roof rails, front and rear lower bumper garnish with smoked-chrome moldings, side mirrors, a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna, VENZA badging, and a rear Toyota emblem. Onboard the top-of-the-line Limited, the following upgrades can be found: perforated SofTex-trimmed seating, heated and ventilated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a 12.3-inch multi-information display, a 10-inch color head-up display, a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel, a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink, a 9-speaker JBL premium audio system, and a center stack with intelligent touch-capacitive controls.

Advanced Safety Features

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ (TSS 2.5+) is a suite of driver-assistance systems and active safety technologies that can help prevent collisions through the use of cameras and radar. All Venza trims have automatic high beams, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, and road sign assist.

A blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, hill start assist control, and an audible vehicle proximity notification system are also standard. Front and rear parking assist with automatic braking are added to the XLE and Limited, but only the Limited has a panoramic view monitor with 360-degree overhead views in low-speed drive/reverse, as well as curb view.

Multimedia and Connectivity

Venza passengers will stay connected with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth hands-free, wireless smartphone charging, and voice command; trial subscriptions for Toyota’s Connected Services and SiriusXM radio also come standard. While the LE and Nightshade Edition have an 8-inch Toyota multimedia touchscreen, the XLE and Limited get a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The Limited also gets a JBL premium audio system with nine speakers, an amplifier, and a subwoofer (the lower trims have a more basic sound unit with six speakers).
