Trims and Powertrain

The five trim levels for the 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid are LE, SE, SE Nightshade Edition, XLE, or XSE. All versions have a front-wheel drivetrain and a powertrain made up of a 2.5-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine teamed with an 88-kW electric motor and lithium-ion traction battery and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The net output is 208 horsepower. The LE trim is EPA-rated for 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway. The other trims are estimated to deliver 44 mpg around town and 47 on the open road.

Standard Features and Optional Packages

While the LE is no-nonsense with its cloth upholstery and 16-inch steel wheels with covers, it also has some upscale equipment, including keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, an eight-way power driver's seat, and LED exterior lighting. LE buyers will also find push-button start, power side mirrors, a sound-reducing windshield, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a 4.2-inch driver information display, and a tilt-and-telescopic steering column. The Cold Weather Package is available to add heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated power side mirrors.

The SE boosts its appearance and attitude with a rear spoiler, dual exhaust tips, black-finished exterior accents (including its 18-inch alloy wheels), power side mirrors, a trim-specific grille, and distinguishing aerodynamic rocker panels. Inside, it’s upgraded with SofTex upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Buyers can order the optional power moonroof and Cold Weather Package. The SE Nightshade is equipped similarly to the SE but with additional black exterior elements and 19-inch bronze-finished alloy wheels.

Building from the LE is the XLE with upscale seating features such as leather upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power front passenger seat, and HVAC vents for the second row. The XLE gets other premium touches: a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch driver information display, upgraded exterior lighting, heated power side mirrors, wood interior accents, ambient cabin lighting, a unique grille, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an overhead console, and 18-inch wheels.

The top-level XSE takes the SE further with leather upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power front passenger seat, premium exterior lighting, a 7-inch driving information display, ambient cabin lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, second-row HVAC vents, an overhead console, and gloss-black treatments on the 19-inch wheels and grille. A moonroof, a heated steering wheel, and ventilated front seats are available for the XLE and XSE.

Advanced Driver Aids

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ comes installed on every 2024 Camry Hybrid. This collection of the latest advanced driver-assist technologies features a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the XLE and XSE and optional for the lower trims. The available Driver Assist Package can upgrade the XLE and XSE with a head-up display, a surround-view monitor, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A 7-inch touchscreen handles the infotainment duties for the LE, SE, and SE Nightshade. A 9-inch touchscreen (accompanied by wireless device charging) does the same for the XLE and XSE and is optional on the LE and SE. All trims have a six-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, USB ports, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota connected services (for emergency help, remote functions, and vehicle monitoring). Navigation and a nine-speaker JBL audio system are available on the XLE and XSE.
