2027 Toyota Land Cruiser

Toyota offers two 2027 Land Cruiser trims: Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser. Both models feature a black “TOYOTA” heritage grille, integrated LED daytime running lights, standard mudguards, rain-sensing wipers, and a windshield-wiper de-icer. Land Cruiser 1958 honors the original FJ25 with heritage-inspired circular LED headlights. It also wears 18-inch dark gray metallic alloy wheels for a simple, traditional look. The Land Cruiser trim uses rectangular LED headlights inspired by the FJ62 and adds a gloss-black hood finisher. Its standard 18-inch matte-gray alloy wheels can be replaced by available 20-inch gray alloy wheels, while Rigid Industries color-selectable LED fog lights switch between white and yellow illumination. Exterior choices include Heritage Blue, Inked, Wind Chill Pearl, Meteor Shower, Ice Cap, and Underground, along with Trail Dust/Grayscape and Heritage Blue/Grayscape two-tone finishes.

Both trims use Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX 2.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. The system produces 326 net combined horsepower at 6,000 rpm. Its 465 lb-ft of torque arrives at 1,700 rpm, giving the Land Cruiser substantial output at a low engine speed. A 288-volt sealed nickel-metal hydride battery provides 1.87 kWh of capacity. An eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission includes sequential shifting and uphill and downhill shift logic. Standard full-time four-wheel drive works with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case to manage power for different driving conditions. Toyota estimates 22 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined for both trims.

Standard Crawl Control and Downhill Assist Control support the 2027 Land Cruiser when the route becomes steep or uneven. The Land Cruiser trim adds Multi-Terrain Select with Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Rock, and Deep Snow settings. Both trims include electronically controlled locking rear and center differentials for added traction management. The full-time four-wheel-drive system also includes Active Traction Control and a Torsen limited-slip center differential with a locking feature. Drive Mode Select provides Sport, Eco, Normal, and Snow modes for changing road and weather conditions. The Land Cruiser trim adds a Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism and a Multi-Terrain Monitor with selectable front, side, and rear views. According to Toyota’s official performance specifications, both trims provide 7.9 inches of ground clearance and can tow up to 6,000 pounds with a standard integrated receiver hitch and 4- and 7-pin connectors.

Land Cruiser pairs heated fabric-trimmed front seats with six-way manual adjustments for the driver and passenger. The Land Cruiser trim has standard SofTex-trimmed seating, an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, and a six-way manual passenger seat. An available package adds leather-trimmed seats and eight-way power adjustment for both front occupants. The Land Cruiser trim also includes heated and ventilated front seats, while a heated steering wheel helps make both cabins more comfortable in colder weather. Three-zone automatic climate control and 12oz cup and bottle holders serve both rows. The trims use different driver displays, with a 7-inch color Multi-Information Display in Land Cruiser 1958 and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in the Land Cruiser trim. Toyota’s official interior specifications also show six USB ports, a 2,400-watt AC inverter, a 60/40-split rear seat, and Qi-compatible wireless charging on the Land Cruiser trim.

Both trims include Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard equipment. The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection can alert the driver to certain potential collisions and may apply the brakes automatically. Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control helps maintain a preset following distance, including operation from highway speeds down to a complete stop. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist can warn of an unintended lane departure and may make a minor steering correction, while Lane Tracing Assist helps center the vehicle when cruise control is active. Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist add support for sign recognition, headlight use, following distance, and steering. A Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Merge Warning joins standard Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking. The Land Cruiser also includes nine airbags and the Star Safety System, which combines stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, Brake Assist, and Smart Stop Technology.
