The Corolla’s undeniable combination of fuel efficiency, dependability, and bang for your buck keeps it selling strongly year after year. When a model sells itself this readily, Toyota could easily choose to limit changes, but they still choose to make improvements. For 2026, that means some updated technology, additional amenities on lower trims, and a slimmed-down lineup. For example, the base LE and mid-range SE are outfitted with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, where this was previously reserved for the more expensive XSE. The new screen replaces the 4.2-inch information display formerly seen in the two lower trims, ousting analog gauges from the Corolla family entirely. On a similar note, the XSE now showcases a 12.3-inch digital display with room for a side-by-side speedometer and tachometer, ditching the smaller screen’s center-oriented gauge. Heated side mirrors with blind-spot monitor warning indicators are now standard on every trim, as is a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. While a power moonroof is no longer an option for the SE, both lower trims are eligible for a Premium Package that will add wireless smartphone charging (it comes standard on the XSE). As far as lineup changes, almost as soon as it appeared, the FX trim has been eliminated from the Corolla Sedan lineup, although it remains available in hatchback form.
