2026 Toyota Camry

2026 Toyota
Camry

The 2026 Camry marks the second year of the strong-selling sedan’s ninth generation, which transitioned the model to an all-hybrid lineup. New for this year is the Nightshade trim, which adds to the Camry’s already appealing looks with black exterior elements and special dark-finished 19-inch wheels. Plus, for the first time, the Camry is available with a panoramic glass roof (as an option for the XLE and XSE). Other Camry standout features include exceptional fuel economy – up to 53 mpg in city driving – and available all-wheel drive across the trim range. Toyota adds to the Camry’s value with ToyotaCare complimentary standard scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, which also includes 24/7 roadside assistance for the same period. Meanwhile, the Camry’s hybrid components are backed by an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty, while the hybrid battery is protected for ten years or 150,000 miles.

Trims and Powertrains

The Toyota Camry comes to buyers in a five-trim lineup for 2026, consisting of the LE, SE, Nightshade, XLE, and XSE. Sitting under the hood of each version is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a hybrid electric system. The combination produces a total of 225 horsepower that’s sent to the front-wheel-drive (FWD) system. Each trim is available with all-wheel drive (AWD), which increases output to 232 horsepower. An electronic continuously variable transmission (eCVT) manages each drivetrain.

The EPA-estimated fuel economy varies by drivetrain and trim. With FWD, the 2026 Camry is rated for 48 to 53 mpg in the city and 47 to 50 mpg on the highway. AWD changes the ratings to 44 to 51 around town and 43 to 49 mpg on the open road. The 2026 Camry has a 15.1-cubic-foot trunk.

Standard Features by Trim

Toyota equips the LE with dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic LED projector-style headlights, fabric upholstery, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and remote keyless entry. This grade also has sound-reducing windshield glass, push-button start, heated power side mirrors, five USB ports, wireless device charging, intermittent windshield wipers, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The SE's sporty vibe starts with a multi-link rear suspension with sport-tuned shocks and springs, dual chrome exhaust tips, aluminum sport pedals, a rear spoiler, unique exterior accents, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and 18-inch black-finish alloy wheels. Its seats are upholstered in a mix of SofTex leatherette and fabric, and it gets an eight-way power driver's seat and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shifter knob. The Nightshade has the same equipment level as the SE but gains exclusive exterior treatments and 19-inch satin black-finished alloy wheels. The LE, SE, and Nightshade are eligible for a power moonroof.

The XLE expands on the LE’s equipment roster by adding more upscale elements, such as leather and microfiber-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power front passenger seat, proximity keyless entry, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. It also gets upgraded exterior lighting, sound-reducing front door glass, unique exterior accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels. The XSE unites the SE’s upgraded running gear and looks with the XLE’s expanded feature list, along with 19-inch wheels. A panoramic glass roof with a front power moonroof is optional for the XLE and XSE.

Additional standard driver aids include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit assist, and rear seat reminder. The safety-related options for the XLE and XSE include a surround-view monitor, traffic jam assist, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic braking, front cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking. Every Camry has eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist control, and a rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.

All trims have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, access to Toyota Connected Services, and a six-speaker audio system. A nine-speaker JBL sound system is available on the XLE and XSE.
