2025 Toyota GR Supra

25 gr supra

Overview

As a member of Toyota’s Gazoo Racing (GR) family of high-performance vehicles, the GR Supra not only looks the part of a sports car, but it also delivers a top driving experience. This car is seriously fun to drive. After all, the GR designation signifies a commitment to superior handling, power, and overall driving dynamics – and it still gives buyers a choice of transmissions, with an 8-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual. The 382-horsepower turbocharged V6 goes from zero to 60 mpg in under four seconds with a top track speed of 155 mph. Plus, a standard adaptive variable suspension supplies a smooth ride with optimized handling and comfort.

Toyota really wants drivers to realize the full potential of this sports car. So, in addition to its extensive coverage of the 36-month/36,000-mile warranty and the 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, the automaker also provides a complimentary one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association and one free high-performance driving experience.

Trims, Powertrain, and Performance

There are just two versions of the rear-wheel-drive 2025 GR Supra: the 3.0 and the 3.0 Premium. Their aforementioned 3.0-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder pairs with either an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters (standard) or a 6-speed manual (available). The automatic version returns an EPA-estimated 23 mpg city/31 mpg highway, while the manual gearbox will give you an estimated 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway. Regardless of the powertrain, the maximum output is 382 horsepower and 368 lb.-ft. of torque, with a top track speed of 155 mph. Some of its other performance-related equipment includes an aerodynamic underbody panel and an adaptive variable suspension consisting of a double-joint type MacPherson strut front and a multi-link rear with five-arm construction.

Standard Features

The 3.0 has carbon-fiber interior trim, combination Alcantara/leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable sport seats (with knee bolsters and position memory for the driver), dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 205-watt Hi-Fi sound system with 10 speakers, an 8.8-inch digital LCD gauge cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with an integrated garage door opener, a 1.5A USB port, and a 12-volt charging socket. Its exterior highlights are LED lighting (auto-leveling headlights/daytime running lights/taillights/backup light), dual rear exhaust outlets with brushed stainless-steel tips, remote keyless entry, and power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors with position memory.

The 3.0 Premium is upgraded with leather seating surfaces, sport pedals, a wireless phone charging tray, a full-color head-up display, a 2.1A USB port, Brembo four-piston fixed-caliper (painted red) front disc brakes with the Supra logo, and one-piston cast-iron rear disc brakes with red floating calipers. Both trims have Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on 19-inch Frozen Gunmetal Gray aluminum wheels.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

The GR Supra has some standard safety features, led by automatic high beams, a pre-collision system and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and directional parking lights. Those who want more can elect to add a trim-specific optional bundle: the Safety & Technology Package Plus JBL for the 3.0 or the Driver Assist Package for the 3.0 Premium. In conjunction with the automatic transmission, both packages will add rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot monitor, dynamic radar cruise control, and parking sensors with emergency braking. In the case of the 6-speed manual transmission, dynamic radar cruise control will be eliminated, as will the emergency braking component of the parking sensors.

Infotainment and Connectivity

You’ll stay connected and entertained in the 3.0 through its 8.8-inch infotainment display, which is controlled using the Supra Command rotary dial. The system features Bluetooth connectivity, Digital Audio, a 10-speaker audio system, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The 3.0 Premium moves to a touchscreen (same size) and gains voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker JBL premium audio Hi-Fi surround sound system, and navigation. Owners also get access to Toyota Supra Connect services such as real-time traffic information, map updates, remote-control lock and ventilation, emergency calling, and Toyota Supra Online.
