Trims and Powertrains

Toyota sells four grades of the rear-wheel-drive GR Supra: the 2.0., 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and the A91-MT Edition. The base GR Supra (the 2.0) has a namesake 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 255 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. It offers engaging performance with a 0-to-60 mph time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. All of the higher trims have instead a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that makes 382 horsepower and 368 lb.-ft. of torque. This potent powerplant goes from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. An eight-speed automatic transmission is the sole gearbox offered for the 2.0, while the 3.0 and 3.0 Premium are available with either the automatic or a six-speed manual. The A91-MT Edition is strictly made as a manual.

The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the GR Supra 2.0 is 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The six-cylinder version with the automatic transmission is rated for 23 mpg around town and 31 mpg on the open road (19 city/27 highway with the manual gearbox).

Standard Features

The 2.0 comes with Alcantara/leather-trimmed sport seats with lumbar and bolster controls, LED exterior lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, heated auto-folding side mirrors with position memory, an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an electric parking brake, dual exhaust outlets, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The GR Supra 3.0 adds quad-piston Brembo brakes, an adaptive suspension, an active rear sport differential, heated 14-way power seats, a driver's position memory system, and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels.

All-leather upholstery, sport pedals, and a full-color head-up display are the standard upgrades in the 3.0 Premium. The limited-run A91-MT Edition includes all of the features of the 3.0 Premium plus hazelnut-toned leather upholstery, an Alcantara-wrapped shift knob, and exclusive exterior badging.

Driver Safety Technology

Every 2023 GR Supra is equipped with a collection of advanced driving aids, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, and automatic high beams. The available Safety & Technology Package (2.0 and 3.0) adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and parking sensors with emergency braking. This option also adds additional infotainment features, which are detailed below. The Driver Assist Package can be added to the 3.0 Premium and A-91MT Edition for blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control (models with the manual transmission get basic cruise control), and parking sensors with emergency braking (manual transmission models get just the parking sensors).

Infotainment and Connectivity

Occupants of the GR Supra 2.0 will stay connected via an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Its features include Bluetooth, a four-speaker audio system, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The 3.0. gets the same system but with ten speakers, while the 3.0 Premium and A-91MT Edition upgrade to a 12-speaker JBL audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay, and access to remote connected services (this equipment is also part of the Safety & Technology Package).
