A Legacy of Automotive Service
The Balise family’s automotive legacy dates back to 1919 when founder Paul E. Balise began fixing farm equipment and automobiles from his backyard garage in Hatfield, MA. By 1929, Paul opened a Chevrolet dealership in Chicopee Falls, MA. Over the years, the Balise family expanded, and in 1958, James E. Balise took over leadership of the company. Under his guidance, Balise became one of the first dealerships to offer Honda vehicles in North America in 1971. In the years that followed, Balise expanded to multiple locations across New England.
